When the Hermansen Family walked into my in-home studio, my first thought was, “Wow, Mom and Dad each have their own little twin!” Kali and Hailey share the same beautiful blonde hair and bright, infectious smiles, while Dan and Miles are matching with their dark brunette locks styled to perfection. This family brought so much joy and energy—it was everything I dream of for a Logan Utah Newborn Photo Session!
Kali and Dan have been married for six wonderful years, sharing a love for the outdoors (at least during the warmer months!). Kali is a full-time kindergarten teacher (an absolute hero in my book!), and Dan works as a talented software developer. Their laid-back nature and genuine warmth made them such a pleasure to work with.
Their oldest, Hailey, is 2.5 years old and a bundle of energy! She’s the spitting image of her mom and just as charming. Kali handles Hailey’s toddler energy like a pro—no surprise since she’s used to working with lively 5-year-olds in her classroom. Hailey’s excitement about becoming a big sister was so heartwarming; you could tell she was ready to step into her new role.
Before baby Miles arrived, Kali shared how much the family anticipated his arrival and the memories they hoped to create with him. When he finally made his debut, it was love at first sight. Miles is an absolute sweetheart, with a head full of dark hair, delicate newborn features, and a calm demeanor that stole everyone’s hearts.
Now a family of four, the Hermansens are soaking up every precious moment of life with a newborn. Walks in the park, days at the pool, and outdoor adventures will soon be on the agenda. For now, though, they’re cherishing quiet snuggles, gentle kisses, and all the tiny milestones that make this stage so special.
